Celtic Engagement Rings

The exquisite quality and selection of our Celtic engagement rings, handmade by artisans in their studios is unsurpassed. But we also believe that how a ring is created is as important as how it looks. Because the mining of precious metal for the average ring results in massive damage to the environment, our designers use only 100% recycled precious metal. For each Celtic engagement ring, we also offer a variety of fair trade gemstones and diamonds with far more assurance of ethics than others who claim "conflict free".

For these exquisite Celtic engagement rings, Artisan Wedding Rings represents two artists: Helen Chantler and Katherine Aberle. When you view our designs, you'll notice that Helen and Katherine have vastly different styles for their Celtic engagement rings.

Katherine is a masterful wax carver. Her rings have remarkable detail in their knot work and they are highly refined in their execution. Her Celtic knot engagement rings are made using the lost wax technique. They have a re-sizing area, which allows you to easily change the size of the ring, should you lose or gain weight during the course of your marriage.

Helen Chantler's Celtic engagement rings start not from a wax carving, but an actual sheet of gold and in some cases, silver. The metal is cut, shaped, soldered and formed to create the seamless whole. Then the knot work is stamped by the hand of the jeweler on an anvil. Each of her Celtic engagement rings will be be slightly different from the next.

Helen's Celtic engagement rings are made in 18K gold over silver, two tone; or solid 18K gold. Katherine's rings can be made in platinum, 14 or 18 karat gold, with a color choice for gold of white, yellow or rose.
